Josephine is the founder, CEO, partnerships lead, growth hacker and the brain (and stamina) behind everything at AUR+A.
With a background in contemporary art and a master’s degree focused on the art market and private collections, her creative mind naturally evolved toward tech. French and British, she’s built an international life and career that’s taken her to New York, Dubai, Tokyo, New Delhi, Singapour, London — and countless countries in between.
She always imagined that by 2025, we’d be living in a world where augmented reality gave us real-time insights into the people around us. So in 2023, she started building exactly that, AUR+A, at an Anthropic hackathon at Shack15 in San Francisco.
As a female founder, she experienced firsthand how hard it is to raise capital and realized just how much AUR+A could help founders and investors find each other in real life.
She’s also ADHD, constantly curious, and always chasing meaningful connections which makes building a social tool for real-world serendipity coming from personal needs.
She now goes back and forth between the US and Europe, often finding balance and rest in the calm of Scandinavia, while continuing to push the boundaries of what tech can do for human connection.
